Net Migration Estimates by Age, Sex, Race and Hispanic Origin for U.S. Counties, 1950-2010: Introduction to Web Application for Graphing, Mapping and Data Acquisition
James Beaudoin, University of Wisconsin-Madison
This website brings together net migration estimates by age, sex, race, and Hispanic origin for US counties during the decades between 1950-2000. Users can chart multiple decades and geographies to observe distinct net migration "signatures." These signatures can help show distinct patterns of inflow and outflow of people within a county. In addition to charting, users can also map these variables to view the spatial patterning of net migration across the US.
